On October 2, 2024, at 9:30 A.M., the Rovers and Rangers Association of our college observed Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. Mrs. Savitha D K, Convenor of Rovers and Rangers, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of this day. She highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s invaluable contribution in India’s freedom movement. She also spoke about Lal Bahadur Shastri’s contributions, including his iconic ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ slogan.
Dr. Premalatha V, our college principal, in her presidential remark, shared an example of Lal Bahadur Shastri’s simple life. She emphasized the importance of humanity and treating others with respect, even in positions of power.
IQAC coordinators Mrs. Anasuya Bhagvath, Mrs. Prathima V Baliga, and Staff Welfare Secretary Mrs. Seema Prabhu were present. Ms. Karthik N, Rovers Convenor, delivered the vote of thanks, and Mrs. Vani U S, Assistant Professor of Kannada, was the Master of Ceremony. The program began with a prayer by Mrs. Laxmi Hegde, Assistant Professor in BBA, and ended with Gandhiji’s favourite song, ‘Vaishnava Janathe’, sung by Mrs. Rakshitha, Lecturer in Computer Science and Applications. All teaching and non-teaching staff attended the program.
