With the primary objective to educate the public on the importance of personal and community hygiene, and to engage the broader community in the cleanliness campaign- Swachhata Hi Seva, the NSS Units of our college organized an awareness rally on September 27, 2024.
The Swachhata Awareness Rally began from Canara College, Mangaluru at 8:15 A.M. and concluded at Viveka Park. Under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Mrs. M. Keerthana Bhat and the NSS Assistant Programme Officer Mrs. Laxmi Hegde, 25 volunteers marched with placards and raised slogans advocating for clean surroundings and promoting environmental conservation with eco-friendly alternatives.
The rally received a positive response from the local community, with several bystanders joining the initiative and expressing appreciation for the volunteers’ efforts. Overall, the event was a great success, fostering awareness and responsibility among participants and the public alike.
