Department of Hindi celebrated Hindi Day on September 21,2024 in the Seminar Hall. Dr. P.V. Shobha, the Head of the Hindi Department of St. Agnes Pre-University College, the chief guest inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and spoke about the importance of the Hindi language and literature, emphasizing the need to learn the language without grammatical errors. She mentioned that even a country like Russia follows the three-language formula.
Dr. Premalatha V., the principal of the college, presided over the event. She expressed that Hindi should not be learnt only for scoring marks but should be integrated into communication after education for the survival of the language.
Kumari K. Amrutha Kamath welcomed the gathering, Nitesh introduced the guests, Shwetha Nayak and her team lead us into the prayer. Kumari Saniya delivered the vote of thanks, and Kumari Manasvi Shetty hosted the event.
Dr. Kalpana J. Prabhu, the Head of the Hindi Department, along with Assistant Professors Smt. Sujata G. Nayak and Smt. Namita, were present at the event. Total 60 students participated in the programme.
