FAREWELL- ‘ADIOS’ TO THE OUTGOING STUDENTS OF THE BATCH 2021-24

The Can-Cabinet Student Welfare Council organized a farewell event, ‘Adios,’ on June 8, 2024, for the outgoing students of the batch 2021-24. The event commenced with a prayer by Ms. Rithika and her team. Ms. Pratheeksha Kotian welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. The dignitaries present on the dais were President of the programme and Correspondent, Canara College CA M. Jagannath Kamath,, Sri K. Shivananda Shenoy, Manager, Canara College, Dr. Premalatha V., Principal, Canara College, Dr. Deepti Nayak, Administrative Officer, Mrs. Sandhya B., Head, Department of Chemistry, Mrs. Dejumma A., Head, Department of Commerce and Management, Mrs. Jayabharathi K.P., Head, Department of Computer Science & Applications and Student Welfare Mentors Mrs. Babitha S., Mrs. Smitha M., and Mr. Avinash.

The formal function included a heartfelt message to the students from the Principal, Dr. Premalatha V. Final year students shared their on campus experiences, reflecting on their academic journey and personal growth. Heads of the departments also addressed the gathering, offering words of encouragement and wisdom. CA M. Jagannath Kamath provided the presidential remark, highlighting the achievements of the students and the institution’s pride in their accomplishments.

Ms. Vamshi, Joint Secretary of the Can-Cabinet Student Welfare Council, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success. The formal function was compered by Mr. Aaryaman Prabhu of II BCA. Following the formal proceedings, a cultural programme was presented by the first and second-year students. The cultural programme was compered by Mr. Bhrundavan Shetty of I B.Com. Refreshments were served to all attendees, and the farewell concluded with a DJ session, adding a joyous and celebratory note to the event.

The farewell ‘Adios’ was a heartwarming and well-organized event under the guidance of Student Welfare Mentors, that left a lasting impression on the graduating batch, their juniors, and the faculty. The event was witnessed and enjoyed by total of 372 students.
