A talk on ” Karma Yoga” on the occasion of Geetha Jayanthi

November 30, 2022

On account of Geetha Jayanthi, a talk on “Karma Yoga’’ was organized by the Hindi Sangh of our college on November 30, 2022.

Mrs. Chethana, Head, Department of Sanskrit was the resource person for the programme. She stated that ‘Karma Yoga’, also known as ‘Karma Marga’, is one of the four classical spiritual paths of Hinduism. It means doing our duty without any attachment. Whether we like or dislike our duty, we have to still do it ourselves to the best. The three types of Karma Yoga are: Sanchitta, Prarabdha and Agami.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Shri Krishna expressed, “Do your duty without the concern to the fruit of it.’’ Bhagavad Gita mentions karma yoga as one of the paths to purify the mind which ultimately leads to spiritual liberation.

Mrs. Sujatha G. Nayak, Convenor, Hindi Sangh delivered the welcome speech and vote of thanks. 22 students were benefitted by this talk.
