“Kaaryaneethi-2k17: The Evolution of the Riser-to discover the hidden talents of freshers” One Day Inter Class Commerce & Management Fest for first year students

DISCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Commerce and Management Association organized an intra-college fest for the fresher’s “KAARYANEETHI-2K17” on July 22, 2017.This one-day mega event was aimed at discovering the hidden talents of first year students in the institute.

The reason behind choosing the name Kaaryaneethi for the fest was to bring awareness in the students about the business and the ethics required running the business successfully.  The motive of this fest will be focused on improving the management skills and knowledge of the freshers. It also aims in understanding why ethics is very important for the business and how do we incorporate it in their journey towards success.

As we all know that human beings evolve every day and evolution is the vital part of mankind, we have chosen our tagline “THE EVOLUTION OF THE RISER” so as to motivate the students here to participate actively in all the events and take a leap towards Victory.

The events that are organized in the festwill help them to be competitive and sportive in order to accomplish their further career goals.The Major events of the fest include;

  • Abhinay ( Ice Breakers)
  • Ajeya ( The Best Manager)
  • Kyathi ( Public Relations)
  • Adveethi (Marketing)
  • Prayukthi ( Human Resource)
  • Abhigyan ( Finance)
  • Atharva ( Quiz)
  • Anveshak ( Research& Development)

All these events which are offered will extend a platform to grasp team work, critical thinking, and creative learning and also to build self-confidence. In most of the events, an over – whelming response from students was received. There were nine teams who have participated with full enthusiasm and exhibited their talent.

The fest started off with the inauguration by DrK.V.Malini, Principal , Canara College who appreciated the organizing team for the creative inauguration which will be a history in the Canara College. The valedictory function was graced byProf.IgnatiusNavilNoronha , HOD of Commerce and by Prof. Pushpaltha HOD of Managementwho had  congratulated the students for the program’s success.

135 students participated in the fest. There were 16 winners for various events. Certificates and trophies were handed over to all the prize winners of various events by the respected dignitaries. All the participants and the invitees appreciated the fest.

The intra class fest and activities provide opportunities to interact with other students and helped them  to enhance interpersonal and communication skills and also to prepare for other college commerce fests. The students were able to learn how to manage time effectively, prioritize work, and follow a schedule and deadlines.
