A one day camp was organised to celebrate Vanamahotsava on July 17, 2016. In this plantation programme 52 volunteers participated. The programme was organised in association with Forest department, Mangalore region. The forest officer Sri Sridhar addressed the students and highlighted the significance of trees for the survival of the mankind. He also explained the role of youth in retaining the forest. He motivated the students to find their career in forest department.
The volunteers planted 100 saplings in the locality and also did shramadan by cleaning the area.
