The college started computer science as an optional subject for B.Sc students during the academic year 1990-91 and for B .Com students Computer application got introduced as a vocational subject in the year 1996-97. Mangalore University introduced BCA course in the year 2001-02 and in the same year the course is started in our college.

There are 9 teaching staffs, 3 lab instructors and 2 attenders. We have well equipped 3 computer labs, each containing 44 computers. Each individual student is using the computer separately and staff members are giving attention to each student’s work in the lab. Many students got selected for the jobs in various companies in the campus interviews.Our main objective is to train our students as computer professionals and expose them to face the challenges in the outside IT world. We lays great stress on the development of character and discipline among the students so that they may turn out to be worthy citizens. We are always ready to provide the necessary guidance to the students in making their academic life wholesome and interesting. As a result there is an increase in the number of students getting placement during the campus interview.
