Soft Skills is very essential for becoming an effective managers, employers or employees of global business. Students need to invest in sharpening their analaytical and inter-personal skills. With this idea, an orientation for add-on course was organised for BBA students on “Essentials of Management Development” by Prof Dawn Prakash, Asst. Professor, SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, ,Mangaluru on Wednesday, July 17,2019 at 3.30 PM. Prof Dawn in his talk, discussed the importance of soft skills in today’s corporate world. Quoting real-life and corporate examples, he emphasized on Leadership, Motivation, Effective Communication Skills, Effective GD, Team Building and Debating skills, Entrepreneurship and hands-on basics of MS-word, Excel and Power Point etc. 43 students participated in this programm.
