Tulu sangha conducted a one day village exposure programme to the members of Tulu sangha on July 21, 2019 at Sajipa Village in Bantwal Taluk. Enthusiastic students stepped into the paddy field and planted paddy seedling. Besides students, staffs in charge of the association as well as inhabitants of Sajipa village were able to pick up nuances of farming and enjoyed the whole process of planting saplings.
In addition, the students also actively took part in various games organised at Sajipa. Mr. Subramanya Bhat, Progressive farmers’ president, appreciated the students and said, “Programs like village exposure should be encouraged as it highlights the culture of the land. It showcases the life and culture of rural areas. Young generation should show genuine interest in rural life as well as to safeguard our culture.”
37 Students and 4 staff in charge actively participated in this programme.
