DEBATE COMPETITION – HRC

The Students of Human Rights Cell have been conducted a Debate Competition on the topic “DEATH PENALTY FOR and AGAINST”, on August 08, 2018. A The participant Students have been divided into two groups. A group of students justified their arguments with merits and demerits &defects of death penalty awarded by Court of Law for a person. More than 50 Sovereign States of the world have abolished death penalty but in India it is still in practice.  In this debate they said that “Practice of Death Penalty is the violation of the Article 21 (Right to Life and Personal Liberty) enshrined in the constitution of India and Gross violation of Human rights”. More than 36 students have taken part in the competition.
