The English Association students in association with department of English and Literary Association, Canara College, visited English Language Lab at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on March 26, 2018. Mrs. Mabel Rodrigues, the Language Trainer for the lab, spoke of the facilities available in the lab and stressed on the importance of gaining command over a language, especially English, in the current globalised world. The language lab was equipped with 40 terminals and was fully digitized. There were specially designed computer programmes with audio and visual aids to enhance student’s reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Mrs. Rodrigues trained the association students on listening and reading skills. 18 students took benefit from this program.
