Canfest 2018: Encarnacio- The Raid for Knowledge – Two-Days National Level Inter-Collegiate Fest

ENCARNACIO 2018, a two Day National Level Undergraduate Inter-Collegiate Fest encompassing the domains of Commerce & Management, Science & IT was organized on January 12 and 13, 2019 at Canara College. The Zealous crowd to witness with a rapturous welcome to chief guest followed by the glimpse of ENCARNACIO and SCIENTICA and also Unveiling of treasure to crown, Anveshan 2K18 marked its giant beginning with its formal inaugural ceremony. It was inaugurated by Dr. A.M Khan, Registrar Evaluation of Mangalore University. In his inaugural address he appealed the budding youth of nation to explore, inspire and innovate so as to discover oneself. The staff co-ordinator Prof. Pushpalatha gave a bird’s eye view of Anveshan 2K18 and student convenor Mr.Vasudev Prabhu and Miss Sudha Singh presented the worm’s eye view of Encarnacio and Scientica respectively. Dr.Manohar Joshi, Vice Principal did the pleasant task of expressing the words of gratitude. The ceremony entangled the delightful presence of our honorary secretary. Sri. M Ranganath Bhat with his remarkable words who gave away the presidential address.

 This fest is organised every year with the objective to provide platform for the students to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit. It consisted the following events such as Ice-Breaker, The Best Manager, Finance, Business quiz, Human Resource, Research and Development, Public relations, Entrepreneur, Marketing and Photography.  It witnessed participation of 11 colleges. Finally, Encarnacio was diligently organized. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant.

Mrs.Vatika Pai was the chief guest of the valedictory function of Encarnacio 2017-2018. She in her speech motivated the students to become the future Entrepreneurs. She also said that the Canara Chamber of Commerce will provide all the financial and administrative support to the blooming entrepreneurs. Encarnacio overall trophy was bagged by SDM College Mangalore and the Runners up trophy was bagged by MAPS College.

150 students together organised the programme with the help of faculty members. It offered an apt platform to unleash their latent potentials and proved to bring out the best and ultimate in its participants and organizers.
