Anveshan 2K18 marked its giant beginning with its formal inaugural ceremony held on January 12, 2018 morning at 9.30 A.M. Dr. K. V. Malini welcomed the guests & the gathering. Dr. A. M. Khan, Registrar (Evaluation) of Mangalore University was the chief guest & Inaugurator of Anveshan 2K18, A 2 Day National Level IT & Science and Commerce & Management Fest by lighting the lamp. Dr. A.M. Khan is his address appealed the budding youth of nation to explore, Inspire & Innovate so as to discover oneself which he referred as ABC i.e. Right Attitude, Behaviour & Character and sufficed the day being dedicated to the youth of nation. The staff coordinator, Prof. Pushpalatha gave a bird’s eye view of Anveshan 2K18 & students convenors Mr. Vasudev Prabhu & Ms. Sudha Singh presented the worm’s eye view of Encarnacio & Scienctica. Sri M. Ranganath Bhat delivered the presidential address. Dr. Manohar Joishi, Vice Principal proposed the Vote of Thanks.
CANFEST 2018 was organized with the theme “ENCARNACIO- THE RAID FOR KNOWLEDGE” to expose, explore and experience the professional challenges and personal excellence of the students.
The two day mega fest offered 10 events such as Ice Breaker (Liminal), Best Manager (Benzaiten), Public Relation (Fabulinous), Marketing (Bochicha), Human Resource (Minerva), Finance (Mercurius), Entrepreneur (Ambrosius), Research & Development (Astraeus), Business Quiz (Muses) and Photography (Prudentia). All these fun filled activities organized in the events, extempore to brighten the competitive spirit of the students and enrich their overall development. These events were judged by eminent professors, professionals and by our own alumni.
ENCARNACIO witnessed 11 registrations with about 110 studentsfrom various colleges such as St Aloysius College (BBM), Besant Evening College, NSAM Nitte, SDM College of Business Management Mangaluru, Besant Women’s College , St Agnes College, MAPS college, Alvas college Moodbidri, MGM College Udupi, SDM college Ujire and Dept of Commerce, Manipal University.
Scientica 2018, an Inter Collegiate National Level IT & Science fest with the theme “Explore, Innovate and Aspire”. The fest offers a unique platform for students to explore their creativity, hidden talent and to inculcate, identify and aspire their dreams.
The registration was open to the participants at 8.00 A.M. on the day of fest. It witnessed the participation from 13 teams with total of 136 students. The 2 day fest had 10 events. The events included Button mashers with 11 participants, E- Motion with 10 participants, Communicraft with 8 participants, Web Graffitti with 11 participants, Quantumn Coders with 11 participants, Dynamic Affinity with 20 participants, Praasya with 20 participants, Easter Egg with 11 participants, Quizophile with 24 participants and Inspiron with 11 participants.
Anveshan 2K18 came to an end with Valedictory ceremony on January 13, 2018 evening at 5.30 P.M. Mrs. Vathika Pai, President, Kanara Chamber of Commerce was the chief guest. Prof. Nevil Ignatius Noronha welcomed the guest & the gathering. Mrs Vathika Pai motivated students with her words. Participation certificates were awarded to students by Dr. Manohar Joishi Kumble & Ms. Raksha Acharya. Participants from various colleges gave their feedback. 2 Day Encarnacio & Scientica report were read by Prof. Dhanyashree & Prof Sushama C. Event wise prizes were distributed by Mrs. Vathika Pai & Principal Dr. K.V. Malini. MAPS College, Mangaluru emerged as the overall winners and SDM College of Business Management, Mangaluru were the runners-up at ENCARNACIO 2018. M.G.M College, Udupi were the winners and S.D.M. College of Business Manangement, Mangalore were the runners up of Scientica 2018. The staff coordinator, Prof. Pushpalatha proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The fest went on smoothly, yielded fruits of success, nutured by the experience of teachers & enthusiasm of students. Staff Convenors, Mrs. Jayabharathi K.P., Mrs. Sushama C., Mrs. Prathima V. Baliga and Ms. Keerthi graced the ocassion along with Student Convenors Mr. Prasanna Bhagavath, Mr. Madhav Pai & Ms. Sudha Singh.
